About Jim Beaman

I am an independent real estate broker that is licensed in both Missouri and Kansas with offices located in Overland Park, Kansas. My wife Teri and I have been married twenty four years, and are proud parents to a fifteen-year-old red head Makenzie and a curly blonde twelve-year-old, Alea. The Kansas City area has proven to be a great home for us: a place where my passion for baseball and love for my family have come together.  My family – probably much like you – love nothing more than spending an evening with each other at a Royals game, that is when the kids aren't dancing, playing softball and basketball, or performing on stage in the local musical.

I grew up in Stuart, Iowa – a small town 40 miles west of Des Moines. Growing up with two brothers and a sister, I spent my childhood playing whatever sport was in season.

Upon graduating from Stuart-Menlo High School, I received degrees in both Business Management and Communications from Central College in Pella, Iowa.

After college, Teri and I moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where I worked as a Senior Bank Examiner for the FDIC. After five years with the FDIC, I served as Vice President of Commercial Lending for a large bank in the Omaha area.

Through a partnership developed at the bank, I pursued a career with a technical staffing company in Omaha.  After showing an eagerness and entrepreneurial spirit in their Omaha office, the company challenged me to open a branch office in the Kansas City area. The business thrived, and we permanently relocated to Overland Park in 1995.

After two buyouts of the IT company (Data Processing Resources Corporation and Compuware) and 234 employees later, I was responsible for overseeing one of eight regions in the United States. After the tragedies in September 2001, I decided to refocus on what made me the happiest..my family and helping others.  From this came Beaman Management Group, Inc. – a staffing and relocation company.

As the business evolved, I fell in love with real estate – I saw how big of an influence I could have in assisting others in the purchase of probably the largest investment most will ever make...their home.  That is the passion behind Jim Beaman Real Estate. Over twenty years in the business world have taught me one lesson: listen to your clients.
