Jim Beaman is an independent REALTOR based in Overland Park, Kansas. He and his wife Teri have been married for nearly twenty years, and are proud parents to a ten-year-old red head Makenzie and a curly blonde six-year-old, Alea. The Kansas City area has proven to be a great home for Jim: a place where his passion for baseball and love for his family have come together. The Beamans – probably much like you – love nothing more than spending an afternoon with each other at a Royals game.

Jim grew up in Stuart, Iowa – a small town 50 miles west of Des Moines. Growing up with two brothers and a sister, Jim spent his childhood playing whatever sport was in season.

Upon graduating from Stuart-Menlo High School, Jim received degrees in both Business Management and Communications from Central College in Pella, Iowa.

After college, Jim and Teri moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where Jim worked as a Senior Bank Examiner for the FDIC. After five years with the FDIC, he served as Vice President of Commercial Lending for a large bank in the Omaha area.

Through a partnership developed at the bank, Jim pursued a career with a technical staffing company in Omaha. Astounded by Jim’s performance in their Omaha office, the company challenged Jim to open a branch office in Overland Park. The business thrived, and he and Teri permanently relocated in 1995.

After two buyouts of the IT company (Data Processing Resources Corporation and Compuware), Jim was responsible for overseeing one of eight regions in the United States. After several successful years, Jim took the relationships and knowledge he had gained, and founded Beaman Management Group – a staffing and relocation company.

Always in search of a bigger and better challenge, Jim sought after his real estate license. In addition to technical staff consulting, Beaman Management Group began a real estate division, buying and selling with RE/MAX Absolute in Overland Park.

As the business evolved, Jim fell in love with real estate – fell in love with helping people. That is the passion behind Jim Beaman Real Estate. Twenty years in the business world have taught Jim one lesson: Listen to your clients. That lesson is why Jim is excited to be there for your next move.
